Dear families and friends

A warm welcome back to Term 2!

I do hope everyone has enjoyed a time of recreation, rejuvenation and revitalisation. As you will know, Mr Grimmett is on leave this term, and then commences in a new position mid-year. I will be acting as Principal for the remainder of 2019 and I look forward to the many challenges that this will entail.

I look forward to meeting with you personally and especially to hear of any concerns or feedback you might have.  I hope to see many of you at the College’s AGM on 22 May.

Having just returned from leading the College’s (46 person!) European Study Tour, and having heard of the great success of the College’s Cebu Mission trip, I start this term by acknowledging the glowing comments I received from teachers, hotel, museum and restaurant staff and many others all over Europe…that our students (and the 19 parents also on my tour!) are the friendliest, best-behaved they have ever seen!

Europe and Cebu trip highlights can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/investigator.sa.edu.au/

A reminder to me and to us all that what we have here at Investigator College is “world class wonderful”- and most special of all are the students, families and staff that make up our Investigator family.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY LITTLE INVESTIGATORS!

The “newest arrival” to Investigator College, our Early Learners Centre, turns one on 4 May! And what a first year! In addition to the state-of-the-art centre, the nature play and gardens have grown up too!

The tireless, ever smiling Louise Davies and her team have created a wonder-world of learning, fun, discovery and…. the “little investigators” love it!

If you haven’t seen the Early Learners Centre yet…make sure you do…it’s amazing! If you or anyone you know wants to join the very best Early Learners Centre on the South Coast (actually, in SA!) please contact Louise Davies. But be quick because numbers are becoming limited. Happy first birthday, Little Investigators; we know this will be the first of many!
