FREQUENTLY ASKED QUestions
Q1: I'm having trouble connecting to the internet at home.
A: Refer to document:
How to Connect to Home Wireless.pdf
Q2: I would like to use my USB 3G internet modem at home.
A: We are unable to support 3G USB internet modems due to the complexity of many providers and the requirement of software to be installed onto a machine which has been shown to potentially break the school network settings. If you can only get access to 3G coverage at your home we would suggest a 3G modem with an inbuilt Wifi hotspot such as this one from Telstra.
Q3. I would like to use my USB printer at home.
A: Unfortunately we are not able to offer any support for any printers are home. Installation of software and drivers requires administrator access which is not given to students. If you have a networked HP printer on your home network, you may be able to use the HP Universal Print driver which is loaded onto the machines. All laptops have the ability to print to the network printer at school.
