Investigator College has a commitment to providing outstanding educational experiences for students at all levels of academic ability, and provides a rich learning environment for all students. Those students who require enrichment and extension, as well as those who have additional learning needs are well catered for at the College.

ADDITIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM

Our Additional Learning program includes MultiLit, Learning Assistance Program (L.A.P.), Funastics, TTRS (Touch Type Read Spell), in-class assistance, private tutoring as well as other individual and group learning opportunities. This program is coordinated by our Special Education teacher.

 

ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Our Enrichment Program includes opportunities such as Information Technology (Computing), Chess tournaments, musical experiences such as choir, band, musicals to name a few.

 

Academy for Academic Excellence and Extension

For students in Years 7-10, our ‘Academy for Academic Excellence and Extension’ is an opportunity for students displaying exceptional ability and potential to construct a long-term project that will allow them to pursue an area of interest and to develop high-order skills. The 2009 trial project will target three major Curriculum areas: Humanities and Literature; The Dramatic Arts; and Science and Mathematics, and is co-ordinated by our Director for Teaching and Learning.
