On Saturday 19-20 October, Investigator College entered four teams into the Southern Regions Relay for Life, hosted at our Victor Harbor Campus:
Investigator College Staff
Investigator College Seniors
Investigator College Rite Journey Boys
Investigator College Rite Journey Girls
A huge thank you to Sonja and her amazing team in the Canteen, who kept us all well fed throughout the night.
The teams relayed from 2:00pm on Saturday until 9:00am on Sunday morning. The event was a lot of fun, but was also a reminder of the impact that cancer has on so many lives. The candle light ceremony was very sombre, but really brought home the reason we were all participating. Ava DeLorenzo and Matt Freeborn played beautiful music throughout this moving ceremony.
Although we had very little sleep and the weather tried to dampen the mood, everyone banded together and the entire relay team raised a total of $35,000 for the Cancer Council.
Our Rite Journey boys won a trophy for the most laps covered in the time, which was an amazing achievement. Once again our students did the College very proud.
We look forward to our involvement in the Relay For Life event again next year.
