On Wednesday 4 May, our Year 4 – Year 6 long distance runners competed at the SAPSASA Cross Country event. The rain held off, which resulted in a beautiful sunny day. Twenty seven Investigator College students competed, with seven students placing in the top six for their age groups. Congratulations to the team, who received the Handicap Shield for the day!

Special mentions go to Luke Modra and Matilda Trevorrow for winning their age group, Jack Lewis for placing 2nd, and Stella Carmichael and Emily Soper placed 3rd in their age groups. Oscar Hirsch for placing 4th, Seb Roesler 5th and Isla Sommerville for placing 6th. All of these students will be invited to represent the Southern Fleurieu District at the State Cross Country Championships to be held at Oakbank Racecourse later this Term. An honourable mention to all of our students who competed and gave it their best shot, as the distance of the track was very trying for many.
