On 7 and 8 September, the Year 12 Drama class will perform ‘Out of the Ordinary’,
written by Adelaide playwright Alex Vickery-Howe.

Theodora Sprout (Lauren Beckett) just wants a normal, quiet life. Unfortunately, that’s just not possible when your father is Jasper Sprout (Alec Morris), a former singing sensation who spends his days travelling the globe in search of fame, meaning and purpose. Her mother, Babs (Isobel Pitt), seems more than happy to go along for the ride, but Theo’s had enough. Her boyfriend, Wallace (Jo Kelly), is no help; he’s more concerned with trying to start a political revolution from the comfort of his bedroom, aided by his wingman, Figsby (Kirsten Miller), and the ferocious Sasha (Jude Mills.)  Then there’s the mysterious Anni (Olivia Scott), who appears to be haunting Theo at every turn. When Jasper falls into the clutches of self-help guru Chad (Coleman Kain), and Theo discovers what’s making her throw up in the mornings, it’s clear life is not going to be ordinary any time soon.

‘Out of the Ordinary’ will be performed at 7:30pm in the Performing Arts and Sports Centre on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 September. Tickets are available at
