Congratulations to the Senior Class of 2020!!
In a day of celebrations, we welcomed families and old scholars to a ‘COVID friendly’ morning tea, during which many stories of school days long gone were discussed; memories of childhood were intertwined with excited and nervous chatter about plans for the future. Of course there was a wide range of emotions; a hint of sadness with tearful goodbyes and excitement about new beginnings. Students and guests also took advantage of the professional photographers, on hand to capture yet another ‘milestone’ moment.
The final assembly followed, with the Senior Class entering to a beautiful rendition of ‘Landslide’ by accomplished vocalist, Year 11 student, Ava De Lorenzo. A highlight of the event was the musical item performed by the Reception students of ‘Time of Your Life’ (with actions and props!), accompanied by the senior Music classes. After the official presentation of Year 12 students and Principal, Mr Robinson’s address, the guests were treated to a DVD, reflecting on students’ lives and schooldays. The service ended with students doing the ‘traditional’ march through the student and parent body. A special thanks to the College Captains, Alicia Crowhurst, Jennifer Panozzo and Jake Felix, who prayed for the senior cohort and thanked the College community and loved ones for all of the support that they have had throughout their schooling.
The Senior Class will gather again at the Year 12 Dinner on Thursday 19 November to celebrate the completion of exams and, more formally, at Speech & Awards Ceremony on Thursday 3 December. All seniors are invited to join the College at the Commencement Service on Friday 29 January, 2021, to recognize their successes in 2020.
