Our Year 8/9 boys competed in the Statewide Basketball Knockout Competition today at Morphett Vale. The boys did well to adjust to the high intensity of the shortened games, winning their first two games which were played back to back. The students competed well and never backed down against tournament favourite Wirreanda and a strong Aberfoyle Park team, eventually going down by 8 points in each game. The boys rallied together for the final game and won by one point in a nail biter when Ken Angus made two free throws with only seconds remaining. Investigator finished 3rd in their pool, narrowly missing out on moving through to the next round. Everyone represented themselves and the College extremely well on and off the court and should be proud of their efforts throughout the day.
