BUS SERVICE

Using Our Bus:
Fees and Additional Information

Investigator College is proud to offer our extensive bus service to our students and families – and to ensure that it operates smoothly, safely and reliably – each day.

Bus Routes/Stops

Our Bus Routes and Stops are reviewed annually in consultation with our transport partner, Willunga Charter, to ensure that our buses cater for the broadest possible range of students.

Current routes, maps and timetables are available on the Willunga Charter website.

It is important to note that our routes and stops are fixed, and that students are unable to be set down, or collected, outside of the advertised stops.

Bus Co-Contribution

From 2023, families utilising College buses will contribute toward the sustainable operation of our bus service.

Our College Bus Service is among the most affordable on the Fleurieu Peninsula, with transport costing less that $2.00 per trip for daily/regular users.

Bus Co-Contributions are per student.

Term Booking $110.00
Single Trip $5.00

Priority for Regular Bus Users

The College bus service gives priority to permanent users travelling to and from their place of residence.

Although the College will make every effort to accommodate a variety of student needs (multiple/alternative bus use for sport, work, friends, etc), this may not always be possible.  All bus routes have a maximum capacity and no further applications will be considered once the maximum number of students has been reached.

Casual Usage

If your child/ren need to use the bus service on a one-off or casual basis, bookings can be made by a parent/caregiver in writing no later than 1:00pm for travel that afternoon or the following morning.

If you require casual use of the Investigator College Bus Service, please ensure that you advise us ahead of time, as we may not always be able to guarantee casual spaces on each route/service.

A $5.00 fee is payable for each trip (to/from the College). Trips must be purchased in advance, with a minimum of 10 x Trips, and can be purchased by contacting the Accounts Receivable Team at Investigator College.

Bus Passes

Students utilising the bus service will be issued with a RFID College Bus Pass that students will use to “tap on and off” as they use the bus each day.

This will provide real time passenger manifests and provide peace of mind to parents/caregivers that the location of their child/ren is known at all times.

Code of Conduct

As part of their bus usage agreement, each student using the Investigator College Bus Service is required to act in accordance with a Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behaviour while on board the bus, and is designed to ensure that our buses can operate safely, reliably and with minimal interruption to our daily services – helping to safeguard our learners as they travel to and from our College each day.

A copy of the Code of Conduct is included in our Bus Transportation Application Form.

A condition of usage of our College buses is the provision of parent/caregiver contact information to Willunga Charter for use in case of emergencies. The consent for the sharing of this information is also included as part of our Bus Transportation Application Form.
