Congratulations to the Fischer family. Reception student Lottie’s suggestion of ‘The Galley’ won the competition. The Fischers’ nomination was accompanied by an explanation of a galley being the name of a ship’s kitchen, in alignment with Investigator’s nautical theme.
The Galley is now open for business, and I know you will support it. It is not too late to join the team of volunteers.
Please contact manager, Kylie Zarins on kzarins@investigator.sa.edu.au if you want to get involved. Watch this space for news on our new coffee machine too!
Speech Day
The culmination of a fabulous year, and celebration of everything that is great about Investigator, Speech Day is an event that we would like every family to experience. Due to the sudden beginning of our new carpark, this year families will need to watch our special day online, via a link that will be sent soon. Many of you have probably already arranged time off work to attend, but now you will be able to use this time to watch it from home. We request that you please watch it online this year, unless you receive a separate invitation, as we cannot slow down the construction of the new, safer carparks, which in turn allow for works on the Innovation Centre to begin.
These are very exciting times indeed but there will inevitably be some short-term pain for incredible long-term gains.
Investigator has reached new levels this year and I guarantee that when watching Speech Day you will feel proud of your association with the College. Whether it is our national lead in Vex Robotics, our award-winning sustainability programs, our domination of sporting competitions, our growth in the Arts, our new focus on student pathways or our outstanding academic achievements, Investigator is recognised throughout the state as a leading Anglican College. I am particularly proud of our beautiful student and staff culture — very special indeed.
