Flying Off The Shelf!

Thursday, 26 October 2023
Our College was well represented at the Normanville Kids Market as two innovative Investigator students, Charlie and Emily Soper, sold their wooden products to the general public.

Emily had recently developed her own small business enterprise, ‘Bubble Birds’, as part of her Year 6 Student Enterprise project in Economics. She and her brother Charlie spent Sunday 22 October selling bird houses, feeders, ornamental fairy doors, lavender bags and flowers and sold out – even securing future purchase orders!

It is fantastic to see our students applying their learnt skills and knowledge in a real-world context and becoming young entrepreneurs. Well done Emily and Charlie!

Be on the lookout for Bubble Birds at Investigator’s upcoming 21st Birthday Celebration as some of our Year 6 Small Businesses sell their products on the day.

As you will see, work has also begun on Investigator’s substantial new centrepiece building – with benefits for all ELC- Year 12 students.
