Innovation Centre building update

Monday, 17 March 2025
We are pleased to share that the construction of the Innovation Centre will soon be entering an exciting new phase. The build will be taking an important step forward with the pouring of the concrete slab – a significant milestone that literally ‘lays the foundation’ for the brand-new facility we are all looking forward to.

Works are progressing to schedule but have so far been focused on essential but unremarkable background work. This includes the partial demolition of the existing building, underground electrical and hydraulic installations, and the digging of trenches for building footings.

With the upcoming works in preparation for the pouring of the slab, we will start to see the Innovation Centre take shape. I know that you will all share in my excitement to be able to visualise the exciting future we share here at Investigator College.

Already, the trenching and fencing give some idea of the scope of the new building and how much it will have to offer our students. This will ultimately include a state-of-the-art primary and secondary library, innovation and enterprise laboratories, robotics studios, and additional classroom spaces, meeting rooms, and community engagement spaces.

I continue to feel humbled by the positivity and support offered by our community. Despite the disruption, there is a palpable atmosphere of excitement, as we all look forward to the long-term benefits.

At Investigator College, we are not content to sit on our laurels and will always do our all to provide the very best educational opportunities for families. Thank you for sharing in our vision and helping us to make it a reality.

Yours sincerely,
