Self-discipline and goal-setting are critical for high school students as they navigate academic responsibilities, personal development, and future aspirations. In my 25+ years’ experience in education I have witnessed many students succeed with these invaluable skills, where others struggle without a strong sense of self-discipline and defined goals to work towards.

There is no relationship quite like the one between grandparents and grandchildren. Without the pressures of parenthood, but with the wisdom and experience that come with age, grandparents can be devoted role models and nurturers, enthusiastic playmates and patient providers of knowledge, values and reassurance.

I have been delighted to catch up with so many of you at recent events, including Open Classrooms, assemblies, SALA opening night, our Father’s Day breakfast, P&F meetings and the Spring Showcase. In our conversations, a number of you have expressed your appreciation of Investigator’s firm commitment to student safety, which remains a paramount consideration, and I have listed just a few of our safety precautions and procedures below for your interest.

Students shine in Investigator’s 2024 Musical
More than 40 students from Investigator College took to the stage during the annual school musical over the weekend. The skilled young musicians and actors had been practising weekly since the start of the year and had their chance to star during three performances in Victor Harbor across Friday 28 June and Saturday 29 June.

As a flight surgeon with the US Helicopter Regiment, Brigadier General Rhonda Cornum was aboard a Black Hawk helicopter on a search and rescue mission, looking for a downed F-16 pilot, during the Persian Gulf War.

Premiers ANZAC Spirit Prize – Izzy’s Vietnam Adventure
During the April School Holidays I was lucky enough to travel Vietnam alongside 19 other history loving students, to study the Vietnam War and it’s effects on our modern day world. This trip brought me so much: more confidence, the opportunity to try new things, a new perspective and memories I will never forget.

Exceptional Results Open Future Doors for Investigator College Graduates
Investigator College is celebrating outstanding Year 12 results for the 2023 school year, with over one-third of the 2023 graduating class achieving an ATAR above 80 and College Captain, Willem Dunkley, achieving an exceptional ATAR of 98.80.
